Picture Lent, Disciple, John 13:33-35

Jesus said, “I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” Tonight I was able to visit this disciple who is under hospice care. He prayed over every Pastor before preaching. He prayed over every parishioners concern. Always! And tonight as I prayed over him, I know he was praying for us. We love you Dick! You are an amazing man and disciple! We are all better for knowing you! #picturelent #disciple

If I knew how I would “borrow” Barbara’s picture of our Prayer Warrior, Dick! If the dictionary had a picture beside it for the word disciple it would be Dick Shotwell! I too had the privilege of being with him last nite and praying over him. As I was leaving I looked him in the eyes and told him I love him and Jesus loves him and he smiled. He is a true and real example for us all.

These BUMC MOW volunteers(some are missing from this picture) are DISCIPLES. They come with joyful hearts each and every time their team cooks. Their love flows into all the meals they prepare. Just come by the kitchen Monday-Friday and hear the laughter and see the love. Love you all: Amy, Eileen, Lil, Steve, Fred, Margaret, Debbie, Vicky, Ruth, Larry, Cheryl, Lynda, Jessie, Dorothy, Darlene, Maryil, Nancy, Steve, Janis, Rebecca, Nancy M., Glenda, Susanne, Joan, Roger, Darrell, Pastor Ralph, Nancy S., Mary Beth, Marianne, Susan, Bob, Donna, Bill
