Upward is an evangelistic sports ministry specifically designed for kindergarten through sixth grade boys and girls that promotes salvation, character, and self-esteem in every child. At Bulverde UMC, we offer basketball and cheerleading as part of our Upward ministry. Upward provides opportunities for all believers, no matter what denomination, to become meaningfully involved: there are opportunities to pray for this program, coach a team, referee a game, share a devotion and help in our concession stand!

Registration for the 2008 Upward Basketball and Cheer program is going on now! Registration forms can be downloaded from this site or at the church office. Cost for our program is $60 for basketball and $65 for cheerleading.

Important dates:

Early registration ends November 2 (after Nov. 2, add $10 to the registration fee).

Evaluations will be held on November 3 from 8-4 (see reg. form for specific ages/times).

Deadline for registration and make-up evaluation is November 17, 9-Noon (all ages).

All practices begin the week of January 7, 2008.

First game is Saturday, January 19, 2008.

Awards celebration is Sunday, March 9, 2008.
