How MOPS cares about Moms

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a program designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten. MOPS is about celebrating motherhood, meeting needs, making connections and experiencing God’s love through relationships and resources. The women are of many ages and backgrounds, but share the same desire – to be the best mothers they can be. MOPS meets moms where they are, and offers instruction and support in a relaxed atmosphere of caring, sharing and fun!

Our Bulverde MOPS group is chartered through Bulverde United Methodist Church with MOPS International, Inc. This non-denominational organization helps us to nurture every mother by meeting her distinct needs. To learn more about MOPS International please visit http://www.mops.org.

Bulverde MOPS meets twice a month on the second and fourth Friday of each month. The second Friday of each month is a traditional MOPS meeting and the fourth Friday is a Mommy & Me outing. MOPS is primarily led by the mothers themselves with the addition of “seasoned, veteran” moms. A MOPS meeting includes: food and fellowship, a teaching time, small group discussion, creative activities and quality childcare for your children through MOPPETS.

What is MOPPETS?

MOPPETS is the exceptional children's ministry program that provides a loving atmosphere for children to explore, play, learn, laugh and meet new friends. This program has a curriculum with crafts, games, bible lessons, story time, interactive play, songs and amazing teachers to facilitate the program.

MOPS 2009-2010 Registration Fees

MOPS follows a school schedule so it begins in Sept. and ends in May. Meetings are held the second Friday of each month at Bulverde United Methodist Church in the Community Building. Meeting times are from 9:00 - 11:30 am. During the month, there are other activities you can participate in such as Mommy & Me outings, Playgroups, Book Club, Bunco and babysitting Co-op.

The cost to join MOPS is $73.00 for the year which pays for your MOPS International membership, subscription to MomSense Magazine, weekly MOM emails, additional meeting activities and quality childcare.

Scholarships are available for moms in need.
